campaign: expect more




Hyde Park Property Management, going into its third year in the neighborhood, was in need of a refreshing, eye-catching campaign that would excite the audience and express the company's overarching brand distinction: You get more.
This campaign was such a massive success. It was submitted by the company for a CAMME Awards with Chicago Apartment Association. You can find the report here:
what i learned:
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Although I had created the campaign theme of "Expect More" months ahead of time, it wasn't until mid-January that the design inspiration hit home for me. Just like writer's block, a creative block is a true issue of the mind.
I also learned that creating something extraordinary can be worth the wait. Would I have loved to have this campaign finished in December? Absolutely. Does life always work how we want? Absolutely not. Taking the time to explore what "expect more" meant to me and play with that concept over and over again allowed me to create something I was incredibly proud of.
