branding: prlc happy hour

A dear friend of mine is the chairwoman of Peoria Regional Learning Center, or PRLC. This is a nonprofit organization that gives high school students an alternative way to receive an education if traditional learning environments simply do not fit their needs. She so graciously asked me to assist in the design aspects of this happy hour fundraiser, and the end product is below:

what i learned:

At this point in my life, I was feeling a bit of a creative rut. I wasn't getting that burst of inspiration towards my designs that artists thrive on. I felt that I was doing the same work day in and day out with no spark of life to it.

When I started working on this, though, I began to feel the desire and drive I had been craving. I learned that sometimes, in order to get our of a creative block, you must take a completely new project on. With this project, there were no rules: create something fantastic. Having that freedom allowed me to output a great end product.
