booket: hyde park property management

Hyde Park Property Management wanted a booklet that could be distributed, providing the ins and outs of choosing their apartments over the competition. There were many requirements to include, such as overview of the company, pictures of interiors and exteriors, showcase of furnished units, lists of apartment features and amenities, map of locations, map of locations in relation to public transportation, and special offers.

what i learned:

For this booklet, I wanted to create something that would stand out in a sea of promotional materials. Achieving this is complicated, but I found inspiration in the company logo. The various angles and curves were very interesting, and I used those elements as key points in the design and layout of these pages.

I also learned that creating maps is more difficult than it seems. The company asked for three maps: one of the property locations, one of parking lot locations, and one of the property locations in relation to University of Chicago shuttle routes. I was able to separate these maps into maps of properties and maps of properties and shuttles. This allows the audience to be able to focus directly where the buildings are located, then compare the location to where it falls along the shuttle map if that is something of importance. Since all parking lots are located at buildings, an asterisk was placed next to the list of addresses that had parking available.
