Life Begins Now

Tomorrow starts my first day at as a full-time employee, and it's oddly not hitting me. Perhaps it's because I'm staying in my college rental home, spending my evening folding laundry and preparing meals for tomorrow.

To even my own surprise, I am looking forward to the new changes that are happening in my life. I am going from living with four other roommates to living alone. I'm in the process apartment hunting and with that, apartment decor shopping online and researching DIY projects on Pinterest. I bought a brand new car–a big upgrade from my grandma's old minivan affectionately named "Shit Van." I have distanced myself from relationships that were on the borderline of becoming toxic, and am strengthening relationships that I believe will have a positive impact on my life.

Some say that college are the best years of your life, and even if that is true, who's to say that the years following can't be wonderful in different ways? I have so many things ahead of me: job promotions, creative opportunities, new friends, vacations, adventures, and things I haven't even thought of yet.

Graduating and moving on is a truly scary thing (I cried 13 times the day I left college, and I was returning in two weeks), but I am starting to see that taking a leap of faith can provide such amazing opportunities for growth and self-betterment.
