Just the Start

This is obviously my first blog post, so I suppose I should begin with some kind of introduction as to why I am doing this. Starting a blog is something I've thought about for a long time, and now that I have officially finished school, it seems like the perfect way to document my personal journey (I sound like I'm on The Bachelorette, I know) into this new chapter of my life.

Over the next year (and beyond, I'm sure), I'll be going through a lot of changes. I'm leaving college (sort of) to take on a full-time position at a company I love. Having interned there for the last year and a half of college, I know this is the perfect starting position for myself. And although I am not leaving my college town of sweet ol' Peoria, it's going to be a huge adjustment going from a somewhat-carefree sorority girl to a young professional in the real world.

There's going to be new experiences, teachable moments, good days, bad days, growing and mourning, and I hope that being able to capture it and document it through this blog will allow me to see how far I've come since walking across that stage.
